Hi and welcome to Beast Mode Mom! I’m Amee, a busy mom of 2 awesome girls and one beautiful golden doodle, a wife, former personal trainer, avid sports fan, crocheter, and book nerd. I created this website to connect with other busy moms and fitness-minded people who may be looking to start making their own health and fitness a priority. I’ll be sharing workouts, recipes, tips, and motivation.
I believe in realistic health and fitness. What exactly does that mean? It means that some days you are probably gonna hit the drive-thru because you’ve had a crappy day. Sometimes your workout will consist of running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off just trying to keep up with life in general. Those kinds of days are real and what most of moms deal with every week. And guess what… It’s OK! I think there’s a huge disservice in the amount of fitness gurus out there pretending to have it all together at all times, because we all know that just isn’t real life. In real life, we all start out our days with the best of intentions only to have “life” happen and we find ourselves standing at the stove at 9 p.m. with a box of Hamburger Helper and calling it dinner. I created this blog as a place for me to not only log my own health and fitness journey, but also to help others who may be in my shoes and looking for a way to take their health back.
It’s learning to embrace the crazy and still make your health and fitness a priority that will make you successful in this endeavor. Because let’s face it, bad days happen. They always will. It’s how you react and move forward that matters. I believe in fitness for all at whatever pace works for you and fits into your schedule.
